Once you have experienced the powers of Shungite, it is hard to let go – and for the same reason, I now personally have a Shungite in every room in my home and also like to use it during meditation.

🖤 THE HISTORY OF SHUNGIT
Shungite was first discovered in the village of Shunga in the Karelia region of northwestern Russia. Hence the name Shungite. The stone has been known and used for centuries by local people for both decorative and medicinal purposes, but was only recognized by the scientific world in the 18th century.
The local people of the area have known about Shungite and used it for centuries. The locals considered Shungite to be sacred and had various legends and myths associated with its origin and powers. According to an ancient legend in the area where Shungite was discovered, the stone was formed by God's tears that fell to Earth. It is said that Shungite contains a divine energy and is therefore often referred to as the Stone of Life .

- Water: Shungite is water-resistant, and this is arguably the easiest way for you to cleanse your Shungite. Let the water from the running tap fall over it for 30 seconds or as needed. You can also let it sink in a bowl of water and leave it for a day for a thorough cleansing.
- Sun: Shungite can withstand sun, and you can therefore easily leave it in the sun's rays all day long. It is both cleansed and recharged by the sun's life-giving rays. The only thing you need to be aware of is that it can get incredibly hot if it is left in the hot sun on a summer day.

It is also this quality that can be used to purify your drinking water - all you have to do is make sure to boil your Shungite for 15 minutes before use to remove unwanted bacteria. Once you have done that, you can simply put it in your glass or carafe, and the shungite will go to work!
Research has shown that Shungite absorbs certain heavy metals and has antibacterial properties, and is therefore excellent for using to purify your drinking water - how amazing nature is!
🖤 SHUNGITE AND ZODIAC SIGNS
Shungite is not traditionally associated with any specific zodiac sign and EVERYONE can use Shungite. It is often lumped in with Scorpio because they share many of the same energies.
However, this only means that people with Scorpio in their horoscope can find special support in Shungite, and that during the Scorpio period (October 24 to November 22), we can feel extra drawn to it.
