Advent Calendar 2025: December 7
OH MY, how I've been looking forward to you opening this sparkling crystal: A PYRITE CLUSTER !
Your new Pyrite cluster comes from Peru, and comes from our long-time partner, Mario and his family. Mario is nothing less than an expert in Peruvian minerals, and his special interest is in Pyrite - and he has personally selected the best ones for this year's advent calendar.
I think it's so amazing what nature can create; and it's understandable that humans have been drawn to this particular crystal for so many years.
Pyrite is also known as "Fool's Gold", or "narreguld" in Danish, because during the gold rush in the second half of the 19th century, when there was an influx of gold miners, especially to the United States, it could fool untrained eyes into believing that they had found gold.
Pyrite gets its name from the Greek word “pyr”, which means fire – Pyrite ignites fire when struck against iron. This method was widespread in ancient times. Pyrite was also used as a gemstone in the Inca Empire in South America and in ancient Rome and Greece.
Pyrite is a very powerful crystal that has a special connection to the solar plexus chakra. It creates strength, energy, creativity and resilience , while making us brave and open to new perspectives .
It provides protection to the wearer of the crystal and shields against negative energies.
It increases the optimism and enthusiasm in you.
Pyrite is a true prosperity stone and perfect to have in your home to attract financial abundance. Place it in the left corner of your home, as seen from the front door, where – according to Feng Shui philosophy – it best attracts prosperity.
